Why are we not allowed to have a picture of our selfs as our avatar? Surely it does no harm?

new members sometimes have their pictures up (even though they don't visit often) and i don't see anything done bout it so i'm not really sure =/

Well as we can now post our own images without it just being links, I don't see why not. Only problem is if someone is entirely too ugly for others to wish to view

no i think it's more of a case of if ugly people put a picture up and others don't wanna see them ;p
anyway it just makes forums look unprofessional and tacky, can't explain but it really does =S
