    Default Google Sync

Just a little feature which Google released a few weeks ago, I've found this incredibly useful so I thought I'd share it here as it's had relatively little limelight. Anyone who uses Gmail or Google Calendar a lot should find this useful providing they have one of these phones:

    • iPhone (Not sure about iPod Touch however I think it probably will as it handles MS Exchange?)
    • BlackBerry
    • Nokia S60
    • Nokia standard
    • Sony Ericsson
    • Windows Mobile

Basically it synchronizes all your Gmail Contacts and Google Calendar through a Microsoft Exchange Server on your phone. Works very well, ensure you backup your contacts and calendar first though as I assure you, it does wipe your contacts/calendar when setting it up.

It's rather easy to setup, just go here and follow the guide for your mobile device:

The iPod Touch you do two things, you select MS Exchange and use Google's details for the Calendar and Contacts and then make a GMail account for the GMail thing.

You forgot the G1 fool but it has done it for ages I guess.
