[VB] Posting with images

Righ, I've been wanting to know this for a while now, I want to know how other forums get images they add to there forum posts can get it so it's on the left or right of their content..

I try opening frontpage to set the alignment etc and just copy the code it gives into the vbulletin posting thread page but it comes up as code..
