When the Gothic Ectoplasm Fountain, romantique_clock were released we knew they were unpopular and hardly any were ever bought. Who would of thought, that in under 2 years they would be some of the highest normal rares.

    Gothic Ectoplasm Fountain
Habbox: 1.0 CS to 9.0 CS
HHGS: 1.0 CS to 12.0 CS

    romantique_clock
Habbox: 0.8 CS to 6.0 CS
HHGS: 0.8 CS to 8.0 CS to later 5.8 CS

So i'm thinking, what could be possibly the next generation of rares that go quite high, doesn't have to be as high as them, but in the 2.0 CS+ range. What rares do you think will be that price in around 1 years time, if the markets stay good like they are now. The Fountain and Clock have done by far the best, but then don't forget Deluxe Theatre Chair, Serpent of Doom, Blue Laser Gate and so on.

    Personally i'm vetting for these;

    German Gnome
    Habbox: 1.5 CS
    HHGS: 1.7 CS

This is really hard to get hold of, and I can't even seem to get for 1.5 CS+, i'm still looking lol. Hated the things when they came out, but I hated the clocks aswell.

    Architeuthis
    Habbox: 1.5 CS
    HHGS: 2.0 CS

Incredibly rare, people can't seem to find them, and of course as they are a teleporter they will only get even more rare as the pairs are broken up.

    Shishi Odishi
    Habbox: 0.6 CS
    HHGS: 0.3 CS

Last rare ever released, quite unpopular. Not a very common site either, could become very rare within next year.

    - - -

Others I think may rise are Love Randomiser, Finnish Sauna & Kraken. Ones above however, are most likely from my opinion, at the moment.

So what rares do you think could do very well if things continue as they are at the moment, and are you investing in them at the moment?

I did think the Orange Para would rocket but not so sure now. It has been proven any rare can go up now - I bought like 100 Cola Machines 1hc each and sold all of them for over 3CS each. Well about 80, probably still have 20 kicking around somewhere. I think things like Hammocks and Holiday Romances are becoming harder to find.

The 2006 boom was a summer boom, which lasted from around January 2006 upto August 2006 and it was fuelled by the massive desire for summer items, such as Amber Lamps, Holiday Romance and so on. In this boom we saw Hammocks & Holiday Romances reaching 6.0 CS per & Amber Lamps the same.

The 2008 boom which has lasted from Late Spring 2008 upto now was a boom for rarity, items tended to rise in how rare they were. That's why we have tended to see things like Gothic Ectoplasm Fountain's reach 9.0/12.0 CS per, Habbo Cola Machine's 3.5 CS per and things like Pillow's beat their old 2006 price records of around 2.5 CS to hit 3.5 CS. Of course now even though we're still in the boom, it has in most cases halved/dropped by two thirds but they still remain higher than the slump we saw in 2007 in which most items dropped to under 1.0 CS.

I think this year if visitor numbers stay as they are, we could as Jake says, see a mix of the two this year, a continuation of the rarity boom but maybe not as wild as we saw last year and a comeback for some 2006 rares which stayed at around 1.0 CS throughout 2007 & 2008.
