Yeah im using AVG, I asked the technician at my mums work, and its the best one for free.
It offers everything, the others mainly have a catch, example you have to pay to get rid of viruses.
    AVG is brilliant

I prefer Avast! to AVG. It's a little more user friendly.
ps. I know you didn't mention firewalls but for a free one Comodo pretty much as good as it gets.

I like using AVG but wouldn't say that it is the best anti-virus software to use, maybe try Norton Internet security is a good one to use, also try Mcfee is also a good anti-virus to use, don't know much on Avast.

I will pretend you diddent just say that, There both rubbish anti viruses, and there both paid.

You went against each rule of this thread, read the thread before you post and for the sake of the consumer never ever recommend Mcafee or Norton.

I use AVG 8.5. I've had used AVG for years on many pc's since about 05' no problems. I used it at work in a computer maintenance shop and told customers not to buy norton and use AVG. Avast is good too. Really a personal decision like preferring IE to firefox or safari etc.
