kai, so i got this sometime today. I highly doubt that I've been breaking rules as my main accounts email, is not my msn one.. I wonder how they got my email address though =S

The Habbo Hotel Misconduct Team have received a report from numerous habbos
in which you have violated the HabboUK rules. It has been reported
that you have used violent language, and given out your email address
which may be abusive to other members, and is against the HabboUK rules.
HabboUK is a virtual hotel website designed for 11 + years of age in the UK, strong language is not acceptable.

All Habbos must follow the habbo way. It was also brought to our attention
that you have been reported at least twice within the last year (2008-2009)
Due to this fact a Safety X will need to perform a back check on your account,
to do this they may access your account and review the scripting, this project
is new to HabboUK to help stop abuse to over members of Habbo.

This check is needed to determined if the report is false.
In which we must freeze/ban your account. We will perform a back check through your data files and a member
of the sulake team will watch through what happened via HTML.
Remember Habbo Staff watch your every move.
If you decide not to give us your details your account will instantly be frozen/Banned during 24/48 hours.

It'll be one of the following:

1. Someone on your list (and who you consider a friend) is trying to get your account.
2. Someone on your list has been compromised.
3. Someone on your list has given out your email.
4. The database of a fansite/forum you are registered on has been compromised.

As for the email, one of the less n00b'y ones. Alas, a fairly clear scam.

That email is pathetic, it strikes me how they could be so stupid as to do that. If they were really "Sulake", they already know your DOB and Password.
I agree with the above post, some fansite forums have been known to let information loose.

Indeed. Where are regular (of course HabboxForum users are not regular) Habbos supposed to find out about this sort of thing now?

There's not even anything about email scams in the FAQ/help files any more.
The only stuff about scams is in the category 'furni' and that's only to say 'it's your fault, tough.' Not in those words mind you.

when i first joined habbo (as a noob) i got hacked by a similar method, i was so naive to the habbo world lmao

I opened the spoiler and got a message from my Avira Virus Protection:

Avira Has Detected A Suspicious File!

Apparently it was trying to put malware into my temp file.....

EDIT: Yes, it was trying to write Malware code into a file in my temp folder when the spoiler is opened. HMM...
