well when ur in ge rite n u fnd n item n u clik on it it showz u stats n evryfinkl well wen u close da ge window it makes ur inv blank so it luks like u got nofin in it but rly u av :S

I guess it's because the GE can be so laggy sometimes

Hmm.. I sometimes get glitches when I'm lagging a lot.

Never gotten this glitch, but then again I haven't been to the GE in weeks. ^_^

Do this:
Put any item(s) in your inventory.
Go to Buy Item.
Close out.
Your inventory will be blank, you'll need to click on it to get it reset.
