    Default [Advanced farming guide]-

Simply, I made this guide to help those of you who haven’t yet worked out this new skill.

    Items needed

    1. About 5000 gp
    2. Seeds for plant you are growing
    3. Correct Herb and flower seeds
    4. Rake
    5. Spade
    6. Buckets
    7. Gardening trowel
    8. Seed dibber
    9. Watering can [ Watering can (8) to start with ]
    10. Law runes
    11. Air staff (Weilded)
    12. Water runes
    13. Earth runes

    Farming Patches
(These are just a few; and may not be all correct - as I have just wrote them off of memory).
    1. South of Falador- Veg (Herb + Flower)
    2. Falador garden - Tree patch
    3. Taverly (Near druids) - Tree patch
    4. North of Ardounge - Veg (Herb + Flower)
    5. South of Ardounge (North of fight arena) - Bush patch
    6. Yannile - Hops patch
    7. Port Sarim - Spirit tree patch (Don’t worry about this until you are a uber farmer )
    8. South of Varock - Hops patch
    9. Next to Varock castle - Tree patch
    10. West of Lumbridge - Tree patch
    11. Camelot - Hops patch

First of all, if you are planning on raising your farming fast; you need to take in account two things:
    1. Don’t let your plants/trees/bushes/what ever die
    2. You will need to do alot of running around - So high magic for teleporting is recommended

    Basics
You need to find the correct patch for the seed you wish to plant (I’ve listed a few above); then you need to prepare your patch.

    Preparing your patches includes:
    1) Raking the weeds
    2) Adding the compost
    3) Watering the land

Once you have prepared your patch you can plant your seed, make sure you have a Gardening Trowel in your inventory to do so, then click on the seed you wish to plant and select the patch which you have prepared.

    Corresponding flowers
You can plant flowers in your garden (Veg garden) to protect your vegetables etc-

Marigolds - Protects Onions, tomatoes and potatoes
    Rosemary - Protects only cabbages
    Naturtiums - Protects watermelons

    Scarecrows

Note: The only way to protect sweet corn is to make a scarecrow, this is done by:

Get an empty sack and fill it with straw (You can buy sacks from farming shops)
Use the sack which is full of straw with a spear (Use a cheap spear Eg. Bronze)
Then use a watermelon with the half-built scarecrow
    - To place it just use it with an empty flower patch ;]

    Problems
Like most skills, as in this one; there is a chance somthing can go wrong.
Your plants, bushes etc can become diseased-
To cure this simply add Plant cure (buy it from farming shops).
    - If it is a bush, use secatuers on the bush and it will cut off the bad parts.

    Harvesting
Finally you will need to harvest your crop, to do so get a sack/basket (sack = veg, basket = fruit) and just click harvest, when you run out of inventory space right click the basket/sack and choose Fill.

    Fast Farming

The fastest way to farm is to harvest and then plant your seeds, then quickly teleport to a close by spot near your next patch- This is the best thing to do if you are planning on getting farming exp fast.

Edit - I hope this helps, it may not be all correct - So post your comments etc and correct me if im' wrong on any thing.. Thanks -Nets.

Pretty good but it'd be better if you put maps of where the farming things are.
