First Ever Layout edit

Hey, I am starting a new fansite.
I downloaded a layout and take a look:

I certainly think your work is a vast improvement - I don't like the images within the banner, they make it look cluttered, and the corners of the boxes are not fully transparent (so you get white pixels over your background image). Other than that, it's definitely a good start, look forward to seeing the finished product!

I use font gen for the Text, Then Recoloured and BAM! Done
