How can i improve this layout

How can i improve? Took me about 3 hours to do this (The banner was really hard) Its not finisshed yet, i have some things to do, what can i add/take away from it?

This is my 2nd layout ever made,

Not too bad i dunno what ou could add really, just the same sort of layout as alot of people create so nothing unique but then again, i cant think of anything to add so i guess i wouldnt do much better

Why is dj says box to big? Not if the text is centered, plus i like the nav, its new, no one else does these kind of navs, also if it was coded it would go lighter when scrolled over
