y'know.
I went to Orlando in 2005 and loved everyday there. I would suggest checking out Virgin Atlantic, great airline and service so check their site out to see if you can get any good deals.![]()
Hey,
We visit Orlando 2-4 times per year, staying in hotels each time.
My Dad spends quite a long time on the computer each day and is always on the look out for cheap flights and hotels.
This coming August, he found some flights to Tampa (near Busch Gardens, 1 hour from Disney / Universal). We usually travel Virgin Atlantic due to the Virgin Flying Club. You collect Virgin Air Miles by simply flying. It's 8,000 miles to Orlando from the UK, so we get 16,000 air miles per trip. This contributes to reduced premium economy tickets and also free economy tickets. (It's also rumoured that a million air miles will get you a free trip into space once Virgin finalise those plans, but that's just an assumption).
Back on topic.. this next August we are flying Delta First Class and my Dad found they were the SAME PRICE as regular economy. Many people got this same offer, phoned up the offices and they have indeed granted it.
My advice for now is to continue checking sites daily for the best deals. Don't pay stupid prices for flights when you can most likely get them cheaper if you wait. We paid £250 for flights in August, which is very good for the 6-week holidays.
As for hotels, many people want to stay on-site at Walt Disney World. A tip.. don't stay on-site. If you're going to be visiting Disney, there is an area we stay in called "Lake Beuna Vista". It's a 1 minute drive from Downtown Disney, and there is some very nice hotels around that area. Microwave, fridge and free wi-fi in most areas there. The rooms range from £20 to £100 per night. You could stay in Disney and not get a fridge in your room or a wireless connection. They think if you can afford to stay in Disney, you can afford £10 a day for internet. Interesting thinking, just something to consider.
Apologies if that sounds wrong.. any of it. I'm in a hotel room right now in Shropshire, so I'll probably reply with some helpful sites in a few days. Oh yeah.. my Dad found tonights hotel room at £19..
Good luck!
Matt.
I can tell you all about Orlando cus ive been going every year since i was 1 yrs old and now i'm 17 yrs old (so that mean's ive been 17 times).
It's a wounderful place to go to, especially Kissimmee.
If your a theme park person then there a few in Orlando like Universal Studios, Universal Studious Islands of Adventures, Seaworld, all the Disney parks like Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios etc. and you can go to Tampa which is only a few miles up north of Florida and you can go to Bush Gardans which is wikid.
If your not a Theme Park Person and just a relaxing person you can rent a villa with a pool and relax round there. There's villa's where i stop when i go and there called 'Luxury Florida Villa for Rent (very quiet and clean area) and there only 5 miles away from Disney. Website: www.villainkissimmee.co.uk
Email: [email protected]
You can also go to places like Sarasota Beach to relax which is a lovely quiet clean place.
If your old enough to drink (you have to be 21 over in the US) then you can go to Downtown Disney or The broadwalk (Near Universal) where there's bar's and night clubs.
Don't know any cheap flights/hotels sorry.
Anything else you wanna know just PM me with your question and i'll be happy to help you.

If you want me to go into detail.. that night was £19, the night before was indeed £9. (How'd ya know?!). Surprisingly, the £9 room was actually a lot cleaner and more well kept than the other.. :eusa_whis
I stay in FAR too many Travelodges for my own good, lol.
You should have been able to keep the same room, regardless of if it was a seperate booking. Rooms are not allocated by price, they are all the same and the computer just tells the person with no brain on reception what room to shove you in.
Travelodge is no frills, lets be honest, you get more than you pay for IMO. A tv, a comfy bed, free tea and coffee, hairdriers, irons and ironing boards avaliable on request at most hotels.. Well £9 is not bad for thatOh and you get the room from 3pm-12pm too, most hotels you have to be out at 10

New style Travelodge rooms are better, they have 22" LCD TVs
There is a way to get internet for free but it involves being a bit cheeky and telling a white lie![]()
