Plot Summary: On November 22, 2010 ten missiles strike Japan. However, this unprecedented terrorist act, later to be labeled as "Careless Monday," does not result in any apparent victims, and is soon forgotten by almost everyone. Then, 3 months later... Saki Morimi is a young woman currently in the United States of America on her graduation trip. But just when she is in front of the White House, Washington DC, she gets into trouble, and only the unexpected intervention of one of her fellow countrymen saves her. However, this man, who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa, is a complete mystery. He appears to have lost his memory, and he is stark naked, except for the gun he holds in one hand, and the mobile phone he's holding with the other. A phone that is charged with 8,200,000,000 yen in digital cash.

Anyone else going to be watching this series? I watched the first episode yesterday and was left completely speechless. It was amazing. The series shows a lot of promise, and already I'm hooked. The plot appears to be a very interesting one that I can't wait to explore. It's directed, created and written by Kenji Kamiyama. The same person who directed both Ghost in the Shell series and the amazing Seirei no Moribito. Plus the opening song is by Oasis. This anime has awesome written all over it. I don't want to get myself overhyped from just the first episode, but I'd be surprised if this series doesn't make it into my top 10.
By the way, it is aired every thursday in Japan, and it's being subbed by LunarAnime and Desire Fansubs. The series is going to be eleven episodes long, and the story takes place over only 11 days. A movie that will serve as a sequel to the series is already in production, and is scheduled for release sometime this year. There is a manga called Higashi no Eden, but this series has nothing to do with it. It's a totally original story created by Kenji Kamiyama.
