    Default Problems DJing!

When ever I download SAM2, when it gets up to the MySQL bit it asks for password & username, I dont put anything and it says something like "Make sure you MySQL is working" or something and "provide username & password." Which I DONT know. I tried everywhere, my computer, laptop it doesn't work! And its really annoying because I am a pretty good DJ now! Is there any way of resolving this. I tried re-installing it, nothing worked!

    Try this:

If a box comes up on the screen named 'MySQL
connection parameters' do NOT edit anything in the box!

    Please follow these directions carfully:

Windows Vista users: Open up 'Documents' (this can be done through the start menu), and at the top, type 'C:\mysql', and click enter (make sure the 's are not included). Now, double click the folder that is named 'bin', and scroll down. Double click the file named 'winmysqladmin' NOT 'winmysqladmin.cnt'! Ok, now wait a few seconds, and a little stop light should appear at the bottom right corner (status bar) of your screen. Right click it, andscroll over 'Win NT' and click 'Start the Server Standalone'. A box will come up, and click 'Yes'. Now, try restarting Sam Broadcaster, and the program should now open.

Windows XP: Open up 'Computer' (this can be done through the start menu). Now double click where it says 'Local Disk' (it also may say something like 'C. A file will be there called 'mysql', double click it. Now, double click the folder that is named 'bin', and scroll down. Double click the file named 'winmysqladmin' NOT 'winmysqladmin.cnt'! Ok, now wait a few seconds, and a little stop light should appear at the bottom right corner (status bar) of your screen. Right click it, and scroll over 'Win NT' and click 'Start the Server Standalone'. A box will come up, and click 'Yes'. Now, try restarting Sam Broadcaster, and the program should now open.

I tried it... it doesnt work. Its a go light and won't let me click "Start The Server Standalone" also, does Habbox accept Sam3?

EDIT: OMG! NOW IT DOESN'T LET ME EVEN DOWNLOAD SAM3! FGS. LOOKS LIKE AN END TO MY DJ CAREER.

Do you have XP or Vista? If you have vista SAM 3 probably won't work.

When you uninstall sam and mysql so you search your PC for hidden files? It is really important that you do this and delete them and then remove them from your recycle bin. Then I suggest trying an alternative SAM download.

What links did you download from? With xp you don't have to use MySQL there's firebird tht you can use as a database.
