    I haven't done a web layout in about half a year so I decided to do a quickie on Flash just now. Its a bit crap but oh well.

    Increase the opacity, it's too dim I don't like the logo because it stands out too much.

    Too dark, i agree with Excellent on that and the logo.

    Yeh the logo was a real quickie cause I had no idea what to put there. Any ideas? Ill increase the opacity now

    Would be cool to see a nice "metal" type logo. So basically, a nice grey gradient slapped with a nice inner glow, a 1px stroke and possibly drop shadow.
    Back for a while.

    Yeh its cause I looked at Johnos post in the thread and tried to recreate a similar background . Thanks for the comments

    I really like it The only problem is what other people have said, the opacity lets it down slightly.

    But I think its really good!

    Thanks! I'm a bit crap at webdesign

    I really need ideas for how to do the content without it looking appauling at the moment.

    Hmm. I'm not sure whether I'm personally liking that effect too much... I think it would be alright in a small area but having it like that is too conflicting and just overpowering. On your edit I'd say you need to make the font brighter but you can leave the background the same brightness.
