    Right, I know that if you put your feet under something and do situps it works your abs.

    But what about if you do situps without your feet under something...

    Its the samee but look at doing crunches as there far mroe effective, but theres things you can do better than crunches depends how serious you want to take it.

    You don't have to put your feet under something, it's just for newbies who haven't got enough strength to do sit ups without using there leg muscles.

    You will still be working your abdominals and partly your obliques

    any sit up will work on your abs.

    This is actualy a good question... Many people don't use anything but then use their legs to help get up which is wrong... If your starting off you would be best to put your feet under something to get into the correct motion and NOT into the habbit of using them legs Good luck man
