I've had four teeth out before but I never referred to it as an "operation". Did they put you under anaesthetic? If so, then the effects will be slowly and gradually working downwards which will open your eyes to the actual pain. I'd stick with the powdered solutions, I know that neurofen comes in powder (thought it may not taste brilliant) if not, try anaesthetic creams or gels around the area of the gums and get some sleep, you should feel better afterwards.

Put the painkiller right at the back of your tounge and the drink

Or crush it up and eat it with something soft

i think he's talking about his wisdom teeth, it actually is considered an operation because of how big they are and how much they have to tear up your mouth in order to get there. they dont put you on laughing gas, they make you sleep like a log and it feels like absolutely no time has passed when you wake up, its so crazy hahaha, at least it was for me. if you're not on some pretty heavy painkillers, it hurts ridiculously bad, i that operation last year, i was on a steady dose of vicodin.

honestly, considering how long they last, you could just stir it in soup or really finely in water so you can drink it. drink it real fast then drink something else.
