Default Bring back the writings sharing forum thing

As a moderately good writer, on the bare edge of win with ranting and generally a cynical **** , I'm finding it harder and harder to get feedback on my writing. I post some threads down in the console gaming, but really I don't get any criticism.

Back when I joined there was an entire forum thing for sharing our writings. Whether creative or opinionated. After around 3 months it was obvious that everybody found them boring and nobody gave a damn. But I'm sure some people did.

Writing is not about how many reads you get or the general criticism, it's sharing it with the right person. That's why I'm asking for a full blown Literature forum somewhere down in General. We can discuss books, have a real book club, criticise each others works, have all sorts of fun generally and mock each other.

I know we're not likely to get a large audience, but whenever I stumble into "Anime, books and other entertainment." it is generally all about anime or something else. I think the bookies around this place would appreciate it, and I doubt it'd be hard to even make.

    Much love.

I would also love this. I remember once when I was reading Tess of the d'Ubervilles which is a pretty hardcore classic literature novel I created a thread about it and didn't get one reply.

If I'm going to be a realist I doubt one will be implemented into the forum because there isn't really much of a desire for one amongst the majority. I don't think many people would post there because there aren't that many teens that write their own material or talk about the books they read.

I really would love to see one introduced because it'd be a forum I'd use regularly because writing and reading is generally what I tend to do. Great idea, +rep for post.

If you want to share your writings with "the right person" then join a writers forum, there just isn't the demand for one on Habbox.

That isn't what he was saying though. If you actually acknowledged the post he is fully aware that the demand might be there. I think if it was introduced as a reading/writing type thing there would be a lot of interest. Everyone reads books - even if it's just for their coursework or what not.

I would certainly like to see such a Forum however unless there is enough demand for it there is little point in having the Forum because it will only be removed at a later date. If enough support for a literature and writing forum can be rallied, you will most certainly see it's addition .

    *Makes some posters*

Great to see you'd be willing to add it if the demand is there Garion rather than just giving a concrete "no" answer which is what I've learned to expect to see.

Wow, great feedback. I thought I'd just be told to "**** off" , but just a handful of supporters won't make much a difference. That isn't to say it won't, supporters are the start and... don't hate me :3. I didn't put a poll in because I honestly thought I'd be slaughtered down, and because this is just a thread in the feedback forum. Not much recognition.

This'll be a long shot but those polls at the top of the forum, asking us what cell phone company blah or what theme we use. Maybe we could change that to "Would you like to see a Literature forum?". Just a thought.

You should PM Garion or someone asking him to add a poll onto this thread. I think you can do that and I'm sure he would do it for you.
