    Default fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood

wondering if anyone is watching it? i loved the first series and the movie. i even loved the DUB more than the SUB!
the new series is basically a remake, but it follows the manga, whereas the first series went of on it's own plot because it caught up with the manga too quick.
it's definitely confusing, but it still retains that FMA magic

I really hate any anime dubbed, it takes the feeling and originality of it away from me. I watched the first season, after that I read a bit of the manga and then Im currently watching the 2nd season now, it's good but not the best series

When it comes to Fma i like both sub and dub but Sub wins.
Ive only watched the 1st 16 eps of the 1st series and first 6 of this series but im enjoying brotherhood alot more.

Shinsen stopped subbing it so I stopped with them. Don't know if I'll bother continuing with the series, I'm just not as dragged in by FMA as everyone else is. Infact, I'm not dragged in at all.

Respect my opinion before stating yours. FOOL!!222"`!¬¬!!111ONE

I don't like FMA. Mainly because there is a sad sob story in every episode. I don't care about you, get off my screen, get on with the actual plot. The character development for those kind of characters is terrible. They try to make it so overly sad that it's just pathetic. The short jokes are so over done as well. It's only funny the first time, the rest of the time its just annoying. If it was a more mature, better presented series, then I'd probably enjoy it. But unfortunately it's not so thats the reason I don't. You said to me it was a mans anime but it's actually directed at younger teens - a target audience that is of no interest to me. Shounens aren't exactly groundbreaking either*, the series does nothing new.

I realise everyone in the anime section probably wants to kill me now but all of what I just typed is my opinion. The show is obviously doing something right because it does have a huge fan base, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

*With exception to Gintama - the actual best anime ever.

I have to agree, in this series they really overdone it with the 'comedy' factor, way more of it in this series than was in the series which didn't properly follow the story. But other than that, I think it's good. I like how they've tried to make the series catch up so fast with where the first series left the manga, like the Youswell episode was summarised on a military report rather than dedicating a whole episode to it, considering it didn't give any storyline significance.

Okay, a couple sob stories at the beginning, get over it chris! I think the characters get more well developed as the story goes on and the short jokes arent that bad.

Again, your opinion. Theres nothing I need to 'get over' but you need to get over the fact I don't like FMA.
