    Hey

    I recently took me computer to the shop after a big virus, he completly fixed it and restored it.

    When i put it on i have no sound -cry-

    The drivers dont need installing, The volume isnt on mute and its plugged in correctly,

    Can anyone help me on this issue?

    P;S I cant go back the shop as i owe him 30quid lol.

    What make of PC is it? I know Dell give you a disk especially for drivers

    This happened to me!! I forgot how I fixed it(which is quite typical, but it was like 4 years ago, and it was with my old computer)

    Just check that every plug is plugged in (push every plug in a bit more, just incase)
    Check out everything is ok in Sound in Control Panel
    Make sure that nothing is on mute or anything...

    and if none of the above work then i suggest either Youtubing it or taking it back to get it fixed.

    Thanks for all help, ive done what youve all said but even the pc speakers dont work. Its weird. The system sounds work tho (Error sound etc)

    My friends computer used to do this, he had to download some AC97 driver, and after that the sound would work.

    I got it working earlier, it was just some settings were wrong (Dont know what but i downloaded an editor and it messed with my settings, and fixed it haa)

    So yeh, thanks.

    Its called Audio Edit, couldnd find the link but google it and you should find
