Basically when ever I turn off my 360 it sounds as if the console is still turned on? does anybody else get that and should I send it off?

Yeah, i guess its a 2005/2006 xbox? my old one does that, it eventually powers down or you could have your wireless controller hooked up to plug n play and its getting powered to charge that

I think its some defect in the old boxes, so i just say leave it

Mine only does that if Im charging my phone or controller from the Xbox. But ring'em and see whats wrong.

i know it may sound stupid but when you download stuff you can do active downloads - charge when xbox is turned off is it this?

Only does it when I've got my Turtle Beaches plugged into the USB.
