Nothing will get deleted if you jailbreak it, all your stuff will still be on your iPod, and btw if you do jailbreak you void your warranty, and some consider it illegal. (so says Apple)

Download QuickPwn from here, best application to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod touch, doesn't use any customer firmwares ect:
    http://www.zshare.net/download/51721230fe4b9459/

Alternatively you can get the link from here:
    http://www.quickpwn.com/downloads

Then by clicking "download QuickPwn for Windows"

    Hope I've helped!

It's pretty easy and self explanatory, and the program does most of it for you.

Download which ever firmware you are on. I'm assuming that you are on a 2nd gen iPod Touch with 2.2.1 firmware, so I would download the one called 2.2.1 (2G): iPod2,1_2.2.1_5H11a_Restore.ipsw - but as I said, depends which firmware you are on.

when you've downloaded the correct firmware, just click "browse" in QuickPwn and locate the .ipsw file that you downloaded. (.ipsw = firmware)
