    Jesus Christ, you're joking right? It's called "best before" because it's best eaten before that date, it doesn't mean you're going to be eating rotting food. Also, expiry dates are officially going to be scrapped by the government, as some products are fine to be consumed over a year after their best before date.

    Yeah ^ Food in the freezer means that nothing can grow on it or develop so once its frozen and you get it back out, when you get it back out its like its brand new so its perfectly fine. Works with meat, cakes, everything

    I wouldn't take any chances with meat personally.

    Meat is perfectly fine, can cook from frozen if small enough, if not can be defrosted in microwave (not rec) or thawed out over night in the fridge and is perfect to cook the next day with great results.
