It is, but it has one, albeit it unavoidable, flaw like most other crime dramas.

When two people are talking they explain everything to each other, as a way to tell the viewers what is going on, very unrealistic, but really the only way to get some information across.

I love Lie To Me. It's up there with The Mentalist and Fringe in my favourite new American show this year.
