I'm thinking about travelling to France for a year, with an exchange with another pupil before I go to university. (So, the year after next). Has anyone experienced something along the lines of this before (ie, brother, friend etc)?

Ive got 2 very good mates who are both deferring before they go to Uni.
One of them got a temporary Work Visa to Australia and is going to go do some work over there.
My other mate want to travel to South America after saving up a bit.
The best thing to do is research on where you want to go and what you want to do whilst your there, perhaps visit some gap year sites as their helpful. 2 others I know wanted to work at a Swiss Music Festival but due to some certain requirements they were turned down as they weren't qualified enough in the French language to be allowed to work.
something.
Yeah but Chris has too much money
I think Gap Years can be useful for experience, especially if you do something related to what you want to do eventually![]()

I was going to take a gap year out, but i'm not sure about the idea now.
I love it when youflex like that
My 'gap year' is this year.. i was just going to work for a year then decide what i really wanted to do.. talked to the boss one day about apprenticeships (not intending on starting one) then the next day we agreed to let me start one..
