    Lightbulb HabboHaven: Official Thread

HabboHaven is a new and inspiring Habbo fansite for all english speaking hotels. We will strive to provide every visitor with knowledge about safety, and the history of Habbo. We will also provide many different things to keep you entertained, such as a forum, daily events, and alot more.

    What is a "Haven"?
A haven is a "a shelter serving as a place of safety or sanctuary", so therefore HabboHaven will serve as a safe place for all Habbos to stay safe, and keep history as Habbo changes.

Can I apply for a job?
Sure! Of course you can. We're looking for a variety of people to help us develop HabboHaven behind the scenes. Click here to apply.

    When will HabboHaven be opening?

At the moment, we are currently in the process of trying to make the site as full and bold as possible to give it the best appearance. Keep checking back, the date will be announced soon.

I'm looking for a few developers and content writers to help me develop features and content. If you are interested, please PM me & we can discuss this further.

Developers would be the ones who will help me develop the new features, so you would have to know come PHP, CSS & XHTML.

At the moment, job applications are being made for each department, so keep checking back.

We're looking for a vBulletin license. If anyone is willing to own the forum, and lend us there license, please PM me. I can design skins pretty well, I'm very good with vBulletin so it wouldn't be a waste.

Otherwise, we're short around 50 USD or 30 Pounds to buy a vBulletin license, so if your willing to donate before the forum opens, we'll add one extra month to everyone who donates before the forum opens. Prices for Donators will be $1.50 or £1.00 for one month. So if you donate before the opening, you will receive 2 months for the one month price.

All updates dealing with the website will be posted in this thread from further on.

    Thank you,
    Jazzier & Mr.Martienez
    HabboHaven Owner & Site Manager

    The stupid thing I find about when applying for a job is the fact you put this;

Attention: When applying, where it asks for your "Forum Username" please put "Forum is not open"

Thanks for your comment. I understand that it is a little cheesy, and I did not do the applications forms, so I will change this.

Thanks for all of your comments. Need some more applications for other positions, we've had far to many moderator applications so they are now closed.

Use phpBB, it can do everything VB does, is more secure and is free, why waste money.

People like VB in the same way people like IE6, i.e they don't know any better. I'm just suggesting a free solution which provides the same feature set. It's still up to the owner what they want to go with, and if your offering a paid solution for free theres little reason to turn it down.

I just want to dispel the myth that Vbulliten is somehow better than free forum solutions, as alot of people around here for some reason seem to think a forum without VB isnt possible "/

phpbb is pretty good, but when most people see a phpbb forum the first thing they think is "unproffesional" or "noobish". Whilst vbullitien just seems a lot more professional.

Although out of all of the free forums, I'd probably go with myBB
