Can't change msn name

haven't been able to for ages and its so annoying.
It lets me do it, but when i sign out and back on again it just goes back to what it was, same for display pics.
And i can't add anyone either

I tried removing and reinstalling - nothing.
Removed messenger plus too.

Happened to me, just go into your MSN settings and check the show emoticons box again.

My emotion icons seem to untick everytime I logout.

What version of MSN/Live are you useing?

Unselect remember me/Forget password.
Login again and it should work
if not, google on how to clear msn cache with CMD.
