I think the £6 you have to pay to get your old touch updated is a bit of a rip off. There dont seem to be much new to it either.

I didnt pay £60 insurance for nothing, ill leave it a while and accidently smash it

Right. Than you hold shift+press restore and restore it to that firmware and your all set.

Only the iPod Touch 3G will come with 3.0 as default.
