You may be able to get it through oral sex though - not entirely sure.

That's not strictly correct. Just as condoms are not 100% effective at preventing pregancies, they are not 100% effective at preventing the transmission of STDs and STIs. I need not explain how condoms work but if bodily fluids are exchanged then you're just as to catch something than you are to get a girl pregnant.
