Hello, at the moment i have a 2.5x1x1 ft Aquarium for my fish, however they are starting to die and i am looking for alternatives as i think i get bored of them easily because i cant handle them.

I was looking in a small pet shop today and my mum wont let me get a snake, or a spider. I wouldnt get a spider anyways, eww.... anyway - i saw Bearded Dragons in there and they were pretty cool and i can handle them however they can get pretty big but takes time for them to do such a thing, and i saw a water dragon like the one posted on here, as the person states, gets big..... I have the room to expand but unless one of can tell me of a reptile that can be handled and keeps to about 1 or 2 ft at the most, i will be rep you and research it.

I wouldnt really reccomend it. You're bored of fish which is understandable but a reptile will be more work to keep clean and healthy, more expensive to keep healthy, running costs of it will be alot more expensive, setting up a new tank will be more expensive, you wont be able to handle it terribly much either. Also, if your planning no moving out or going to uni then I wouldnt rec it because you probably wouldnt want to take it with you and will have to leave it at home etc because they can live for a long time.

If you want to do anything, get a budgie or I would extend your fish tank and range of fish, get some different tropical tanks, change the ornaments in the tank every so often/when you clean it etc. Failing that, a dog.

I have both and I would say that if your just starting out a bearded dragon would be more appropiate.
It depends what type as there's ranking dragons and bearded dragons, rankings are the same but they do not get as big. One of mine was debatable as a rankings dragon but it just turned out he was very underfed.
if you want the cheaper option chose the bearded dragons as water dragons need alot of food (locusts, mice, mealworms) they eat ALOT.
The water dragon will also need alot of time and handling and the eletric bills can be quite pricey as they're used to higher tempretures.
With water dragons they aren't exactly the tamest pets. They run and jump and climb walls. If you want a pet you can 'bond' with then get a beardie, they sit on your shoulders and can pretty much stay there for hours.

Oh and about mine being underfed it wasn't us that underfed him haha.
We got him off a website. We've fattened him up now
