    what i would like is the gradient i made to go from side to side and top of the browser instead of having the gaps... ive done it in a table so far just wondering if i should put it in divs if so any hints

    gaps? I don't see any, but yeah, you are best to use div's.

    Depends on what browser you are viewing it in, I guess. Its probably something to do with the margins and such set by the browser.

    That gives you some more information about using a reset.css file to remove all the default styling by the browser
