A online site, that contains text or image document, or indeed porn.

Give me some examples of what a website looks like?

Explain what a website is in more detail.

    According to a user:
Its funny how you know nothing about anything web related, besides "habbo".

From a web developer's perspective or someone who knows about web development(you may not fit into any of these categories), you would realize that you do not have a website. You have a WHMCS Portal which is backend software powering your company.

You know, and I know what the term "website" means when being related to a web page. So stop trying to play the "ignorant card" and take some advice.

Face it... you do NOT know everything, as you seem to believe so.

From a person who is not internet savvy, then you do have a website. This same person would say anything in the internet or intranet would be a website.. or anything with a "www." would be a website.

Stop acting ignorant and get over your stubbornness.

If http://www.30mb.co.uk is not a website, what is it? Serious question.

People who know what they are talking about post in this forum so I posted it here - plus it's in the right place.

The user who I directed to this thread can then prove his points here rather than trash my thread any more.

    Same for me to.

A website is a place where a user has content displayed on the web.

A website (or web site) is a collection of related web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that are addressed with a common domain name or IP address in an Internet Protocol-based network. A web site is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via the Internet or a private local area network.
A web page is a document, typically written in plain text interspersed with formatting instructions of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML, XHTML). A web page may incorporate elements from other web sites with suitable markup anchors.
Web pages are accessed and transported with the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which may optionally employ encryption (HTTP Secure, HTTPS) to provide security and privacy for the user of the web page content. The user's application, often a web browser, renders the page content according to its HTML markup instructions onto a display terminal.
All publicly accessible web sites collectively constitute the World Wide Web.
The pages of a web site can usually be accessed from a simple Uniform Resource Locator (URL) called the homepage. The URLs of the pages organize them into a hierarchy, although hyperlinking between them conveys the reader's perceived site structure and guides the reader's navigation of the site.
Some web sites require a subscription to access some or all of their content. Examples of subscription sites include many business sites, parts of many news sites, academic journal sites, gaming sites, message boards, web-based e-mail, services, social networking web sites, and sites providing real-time stock market data.

Ok ladies, time for me to comment.
Like .amaZe said, it is essentially a portal, which is a type of website. Sort of.
Just like microsites, portfolios etc. a portal is a website, but when referring to it I'd always call it a microsite (or portal/whatever, depending on the case), and not a website. Although that's probably just personal preference.

So you both win (or lose, pessimist) the argument. Now who wants a doughnut?
Well guess what, they're all mine.
