    Default Summer job.

Two of my friends got a job at McDonalds over the summer lol, they are getting like £90 a week and I was going to get one but I do not want to work at McDonalds. Does anyone know any popular places that accept people at school leaving age O_o?

Take it they are on 4.35 an hour

I work there and tbh its ok, its a job to get me some cash while i go to college and then uni.

Not doing alot of hours though are they? I bring home around 500 every payday (every 2 weeks) (Y). But i do 50+ hours.

I dunno if they have any spaces left now but I was thinking of applying at Maplins but they only have like 8 hour shift available 1-2 days and I'd only be getting £60 a week

8 Hour shifts are good, easy money in a day, try doing a 16 hour shift

Yeah, well, if you applied for mcdonalds, you will be on 4.35 an hour, on an 8 hour shift you would get payed for 7 1/4 hours becuase of break. So works out to be sumin like 180 quid! a week. And the job is not all that bad, men tend to go in kitchen, which is really easy work! Only bit that sucks is when its really hot the kitchen gets 55 Degrees+. Get free food on your lunch aswell, and a card tht gives u money off.
