Kayy so I decided that my hair was too faded, so I got highlights.

My blonde ones look a little orangey because they haven't lightened up yet.

LOL yeh I am 12 and they are really red, but they haven't "broken in" and faded their tiny bit yet.

Thats what I thought too, but the lady at the place said its just because they haven't had sunlight yet (or much of it anyways LOL) so I need to go sit in the sun first Then they'll be bright

Not really an improvement seeing as you've just added some frankly poorly done highlights into your "dull" hair. But honestly your hair looked fine in the second photo, if you thought it was dull an all over dye job would've been better.

why would you bother getting your hair done at the age of 12 anyway? Do you do it to be cool or because your friends do it :S
