It's been a while.. New layout

Hi,

Most of you will probably not know me, but I used to come on this forum alot quite a while ago. Well, I've been browsing it again for the latest few days and decided to make a layout.

It's not great as it's my first layout I've done for quite a while, but I've given it a go. Please let me know how I can improve it. Oh, and also, I know the colour scheme and the navigation icons are like iDenning's, but I thought his was great and it inspired me to get back into web designing.

The only bad thing I can see about it is the icons and the border around the pictures at the bottom.

Cheers for the tips. The borders on the diary entries are actually that shape for a reason, I should have probably left the text in. Hang on, I'll upload the version of it with the diary entries fixed.

As for the buttons, I quite like them. But I'll work on it.

You should try stick to the same style in the icons, they look kind of too different if you know what i mean :S ive confused myself.

The 2nd layout at the bottom has definitely improved

Yeh the icons; pictures and music look different to all the others, i also think the font is horrible.

Ok I've taken n board your comments about the icons, and I've now changed them all to one style. However, I didn't know whether I liked them more with text underneath or without the text, so I've uploaded both of them. Let me know which one you like more and what other stuff I could change.

Welcome back, not seen you around in a while. Later templates look pretty nice, though the water mark puts me off a bit. Are they really needed? i always find it hard to think what layouts would look like without em.
