/sigh. - Where can I get a cheap graphics card?

Yah, well the other day my computer started mucking up and then when we found the problem (RAM) it booted up, but with the monitor cable plugged in it said 'No Signal'. Also, it's not a faulty monitor as I'm using it now with my mum's computer. I just need a cheap graphics card, my old one was nVidia GeForce.

Found a picture, not sure if it's the same specs but it's the same pins.

However, as Tom said, it could be your powersupply. But just a quick thought, have you tried resetting the CMOS battery, that helped when mine done this

You plugged the monitor cable back into the right port didn't you? I.e the one on the graphics card and not the motherboard.

Or via the motherboard; turn off the PSU and remove the small battery. Hold the power button for 5 seconds and let go. Then wait 3 - 5 minutes and re-insert the battery. Power on and there you have it.

If your running on just one screen a tempory fix would just be remove the gfx card (uninstall gfx) drivers, and plug your moniter in to the mobo's port. You probs wouldnt wana play a game on it (unless your onboard gfx are actually pretty good) but it'll get you a useable pc

Just to confirm, i'd check the moniter with another pc as in alot of cases it tends to be the moniters that go / have issues rather than the pc components (Unless youve been messing with em)

I don't know whether your PC takes AGP or PCI-E, but you can get an AGP 7600 GS for £45 from PC World, and a PCI-E 9400 GT for the same price at PC World.
