Default Am I entitle to any benifits?

I have 14 contracted hours a week at work (but usually bump it up to 30 with over time).

I got told yesterday, by a friend that because I only have 14 contracted working hours that I'm entitle to some benifits? Does anyone know if there's any truth in this and if so how I go about claiming it? Coz I could really do with some extra beer money haha x

Just phone up your local neighboring center.. they should be able to give you a clear answer to your question.

If you work fewer than 16 hours a week, you may be able to claim Income Support or Jobseeker’s Allowance.

Working tax credits are only available to people over 21 who work at least 30 hours a week, or anyone who is over 16 who is either disabled or has a child.
