New VPS

Hey guys,

I recently brought a new VPS from techhosts. I was wondering how i login to SSH?

I connect via PuTTY and enter root or admin for the username.

I try all the possibilitys the password could be, however it keeps denying me.

OS: CentOS With Lxadmin

Any idea's how to login?

P.s i also cannot loginto FTP, i have set up a FTP account.

You should have specified or been given a root password when you ordered it. Contact your host about the root password (the username is 'root' not 'admin' too btw)

Okay, Also i set up my domain with it, how would i get rid of this error and just display the files in the domain's directory?

Not excally a direct fix but you should upgrade to PHP5. PHP4 has become outdated for a long time now as is no longer supported with no security updates.

thanks for all who's helped, i've thoguht of more possibilities for a password and i managed to get in !

Also managed to get FTP working too.
