Ubuntu Dual Boot.. Help?

Hey, The Ubuntu 9.04 disk has just come through the post and I was wondering..
If i was to put the disk in a boot to install... Would I have to of made the partition before or will it do it for me? ;D

You can choose when you insert the disk whether you wish to overwrite your current operating system or install Ubuntu on a partition on your hard drive.

I have a dual boot now:
Windows Vista
Ubuntu

Install it to your computer and you will no longer need a disk.
