    Default Funky Highlights

Okay so I'm a 16 year old lad, with emo-ish hair. Like it doesn't cover my eyes but it's still quite longish, well anyway.

I'm really bored of my hair and was thinking of getting a really bright colour for highlights like red or blue or something, but the only thing is I feel like it wont go with what I wear.

I wear mainly black, grey, white clothes. Like the checked stuff kinda thing. So if I got a colour say like blue, it wouldn't really go 'cause I never wear anything blue.

Has anyone got any suggestions for what colour I could get and how to have my hair etc. I wanna go wild where people would say like ";o that's nice" not wild like "wow omg his hair it's crazy" kinda thing.

+Rep to helpful replies as always.

I think you should go for blue, because it goes with the colours you mainly wear. Do NOT go for red, especially if you're prone to spots, it makes them look greasier, or if you're pale it'll make you look washed out, well the red you're talking about anyway. A sort of turquoise blue would suit most colours, but most people don't really choose clothes that go with their hair anyway, I've seen a few people with blue in their hair and I've never thought their clothes didn't go, even if they would normally clash. So go for it, and don't really think about it, you can always dye it again, and like you said you normally wear blacks, and a bright blue would look better with that than red, red and black is just too emo. I personally think those colours look horrible together.
Grandad: I mean smoking mari-jew-arna! You brought a slur upon the family name.

Rodney: Oh leave off Grandad. I'd have to get done for chicken molesting to bring a slur on this family's name.

I say that it really doesn't matter,
because if people don't like it its still your style.
But I'd definitely say go with blue. Red and black looks emo and fades VERY easily. It'll be too much of a hassle to keep up with.

I know someone who got her hair highlighted by her sister (professional hairdresser) and the highlights were bright red like this:

and they quickly faded to this color, though it started at the top and worked its way down so it looked terrible:

    it was that color-ish ^^
but yeh. I'd say blue would be a color that you could get away with even if it clashed just because it goes with everything in some way

If you had blue hair it wouldnt mean you'd have to wear blue clothes. And black, grey and white go with pretty much most colours anyway.
