Security training

I've been considering for a while to go into security servies for a while.

I've been looking at the SIA website and researching it all, i need a BTEC level 2 in doorman services or something, which i'm thinking of doing after university. Just start out as something like a bouncer and then consider other types of security jobs.

What you reck? thoughts? etc etc

I wouldn't advise being a doorman if you're going to have university qualifications! Most security guards I see are in their forties and fifties and are ex-army.
