    Default District 9!

So I haven't gotten to see it yet, but I'm planning on going tomorrow night and I'm excited. Apparently it got an 81 on metacritic, and a lot of my friends that have seen it think it's awesome. Anyone here seen it yet? Opinions? I'm not actually sure if it was released in the UK, but I think it was? If you don't know what it was, then just youtube the trailer for it.

PS. If you've never seen this, here's the original short that spawned the making of the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1hI8c8HzxU

I don't care too much, I'm not the biggest sci-fi fan. There's a lot of hype. Friends of mine in your native country have told me it doesn't live up to the hype, though is still good. Unfortunately it looks like this is going to open at number one next week, beating Inglourious *******s, which is a shame as the latter is a masterpiece. Already District 9 has got a score of 9/10 with just 3000 votes. People like it and they vote 10. I could go on a whole rant about IMDb. The film's probably going to end up voted the second best film of all time or something absolutely pathetic like The Dark Knight's position.

I really want to see it, but it comes out on September 4th for UK.
I could always just go on a site were it's been illegally filmed.

There is quite a bit of hype so I hope I don't end up disappointed by it. I'm a huge sci-fi nerd though, so I feel like I'm going to like it no matter what. And I haven't seen Inglorious *******s yet but I really want to. It looks intense!

It looks kind of strange. The trailers made it look like a documentary?

It's sort of documentary-esque. I liked it though!! They set up the end so there's a possibility of a sequel and I kind of hope they won't make one because I'm sure it would ruin it.

I agree, Speaking to friends it isn't as good as everyone speculates.(bit like DTESS remake). I haven't seen it yet but i hope Inglourious *******s does better as it looks like it is going to add to the Tarantino brilliance.

After two viewings, I think it's his second best film.
