Pop singer George Michael has been arrested after his car was involved in a collision, it has emerged.
The Wham! star was questioned by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs on Friday morning.
He was later released without charge.
The 46-year-old singer, who had just completed a two-year driving ban, was arrested after his silver Land Rover hit an articulated lorry on the A34 in Berkshire at about 1am.
He was taken to Lodden Valley police station, near Reading, where he was questioned on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs and released about five hours later.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police said: "Officers were called at 1am on August 14 to a collision on the southbound carriageway of the A34, about two miles north of the M4. It involved a silver Land Rover and an articulated lorry. The driver of the Land Rover was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. He was later released without charge."
The lorry driver, Laurie Rowe, told the Daily Mail: "He seemed completely disorientated, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my lorry. He kept saying he was worried he would go to jail."
Mr Rowe, from Scotland, said he saw the silver 4x4 weaving from one side of the road to the other in his rear view mirror seconds before the crash, adding that the impact was so great that he feared the driver was dead.
"He hit me so hard that it knocked my rear axle two feet up in the air," he said. "When I stopped the lorry and got out to see what had happened, I didn't think he would have survived."
The singer was banned from driving for two years and sentenced to 100 hours community service in June 2007 after pleading guilty to driving while unfit through drugs.

To be honest, there's not alot to care about. He was in an accident and clearly is doing fine - the only shock is the drug taking which is strangely common to hear about nowadays with these types of stars.
