Default How to sucessfully design & run a Habbo Fansite.

If you're reading this I'm guessing you are considering making a fansite. This is just a simple step-by-step guide on how to get the basic stuff you need. If you're going to make a fansite, I recommend you have atleast £15 in your Paypal to use to buy the obvious things for a website. If you haven't got any money, don't stop reading, I will give free options in each step as well. If you like this guide alot, +rep.

    Part - I
First of all you're going to want to set up an x10hosting account. After you've set it up, download SmartFTP, you'll need it later on. Now you need to look for a unique layout that you like, or make your own. If you want one that's already made for you, look on HabboArchive. When you have downloaded your layout and changed it all to what you want, you're ready to move onto the next step.

    Part - II
Now you need to get the coding done, I cannot help you with the coding, but I can refer you to some tools & tutorials to help you get on your way to being a HTML Guru. First of all, you should use html-edit, which is an online HTML editor, so it saves you keep having to save & preview it on notepad. If you don't know how to code HTML, I'd check out w3schools, they have lots of help.

    Part - III
Once you've coded your layout, and it ready to go, you should upload it to your x10hosting account using SmartFTP, if you don't know how to do that, click here. When you've finished with that, proceed to the next step.

    Part - VI
Now you need to get some fun things for your site visitors to make them want to stay on your site. I recommend purchasing a Radio, and employing some DJ's to help out ( you can't run it by yourself can you! ). I suggest using Tech-Hosts, they have very good Radio deals, ranging from £1 per 10 listening (100 Listeners = £10!), once you've done that, you'll need to get Sam Broadcaster, you can buy it from their site, or get it for free here or anywhere across the whole of the Internet, just check on Google. Once you've got your Radio set up, you need to get yourself a DJ Panel & some Radio Statistics. Once you've completed that step, proceed to the last step.

    Part - IV
Now you need to get a domain, if you have .x10hosting.com, it's not very attractive and it makes your site look un-proffessional. If you have money, purchase a domain from Tech-Hosts, by clicking here, or you can go for the free domains (.co.cc, .co.nr, .tk)

Got all your things ready? You're site is completed and ready to be released!
I hope this guide helped you, that's what it was aimed for! :eusa_clap

This is all obvious but I bet it'll help some people.

I thought the title said "how to run a successful fansite" lol.

    Nice guide.

I've had £3 for 200 listeners once, suggesting price isn't the most accurate way.

Suggesting hosts as well isnt the best thing to do. Maybe give a range.

I was just supplying 'newbs' who've never made a website using a webhost before an example of one of the easiest ones to use.

I think adding "vBulletin != good fansite" would be a good idea. The amount of threads where they say vBulletin forum as the USP of their fansite is silly
