    Right I use this:

I am wondering if anyone can explain how I can get a certain outcome
    EG: 200,000 in HEX?

You're asking how to count in base 16?

Yeah, I think that is what I mean. Can you tell me the HEX code for 200,000 and I'll give you a few more digits and I'll +REP you for it.

Well considering you linked to a hexadecimal converter.. I'm sure you can convert 200,000.

    Counting in base 16 is easy. 1 - 15 is 1-9, a-f. A 10, B 11, C 12, D 13, E 14, F 15.

    16 is 10, 17 is 11 (base10 first, base16 second in both examples).

At a glance, confusing, however, try and forget what you do know about counting in base 10.

    TEN - UNITS
    1 - 0
    1 - 1

    16 and 17 in b16.

    1 - 6
    1 - 7

    16 and 17 in b10.

1's in the TENS column (I realise the irony using b10 counting here, but old method of learning to count..) represent 15's. 20 in b16 is 32 in b10. Getting it? 2A is 42. 2F is 47. 30 is 48.

    Hope that made some sense.

BAFFLED LOL:S Can you just convert 200,000 to hex so the outcome is 200,000 when I hit decimal. I type 200,000 to hex then hex to decimal and get 2097152:S.

    Yeah cos it's complex !
Ok thanks, just one more thing.
I need to sort it in 8s

    EX:
    00001111 30D40???

So what do I fill in I need to fill in 3 more numbers or something to not affect the outcome, it doesn't allow symbols.

You're trying to convert 1,111 to base16? (zeros coming before a number are ignored...)
