    Default Grapgics card problem

    Right heres the deal

Just got a new graphics card because the old one burnt out.

New one is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 AGP

Works fine normally however when I go to play a game in full screen the drivers seem to lockup as the VPU Recovery then resets the cards resolution etc

Ive tried updating drivers and it told me im already on the newest ones.

Pretty annoying problem as I only bought it today and it cost me £50

    Any ideas? thanks

Just that you specifically said 'full screen'. I doubt it will be any different in windowed mode. What version drivers are you running?

Ive also tried the omega drivers for the card as I searched around and people said to try them, still no luck

I might resort to going to pc world and getting them to do it

I know, thats why I posted here

I bought the card from a local store, but I was at my dads when I bought it, so the store is now 60 odd miles away so I can't take it back there for them to have a look

could it be a problem with my AGP port?

The last card (Nvidia geforce 4400SE) burnt out and was left in for afew weeks without us knowing it was burnt. When we took it in they told us and showed us the card because we though it had just rusted, but apparently thats where the card had swollen and burnt out.

EDIT: the new card does need external power, which I have connected up to it, so it should be running fine.
