If you look in the picture attachment theres a cable thats plugged into the TV-HDTV cable, Whats that for?

If you get a Astro A40 headset you can buy a cable which connects from the port there straight to the headset. It gives you true 5.1 Dolby Digital

The headset isnt the only thing the optical audio is for..
