How slim is it?!

Right I'm tempted to buy a PS3 slim (with fifa10... of course) and was just wondering how big they really are, and whether it could easily swap with my PS2 (yeah didn't bother with the normal sized ps3, but now's the time for change!)

I was looking for the actual specs, but this website could well be just as handy, plus I thought it was fairly interesting and wanted to share it (sorry if already posted!)

Is this of use? If that link works, it shows the heigh, depth and so on.

That is of use, it means I'd need to store it somewhere else! The current place is 9" depth and 8" high... which means it could go in diagonally (...) or just not fit in!

Its not as wide but standing up, it is slightly (just slightly) longer then the fat. I know its not exact but I have one so pfft.

Oh shucks, cos I can really fit my DVD's into my DS :rolleyes_

I'm now torn between xBox 360 and PS3 slim, don't much fancy a ps3 slim if you can't get backward compatibility! Apparently there will be a patch? Anyone know?
