Is this the world's tackiest car? Not content with buying his girlfriend a huge diamond or having her name tattooed on his arm, Manchester City footballer Stephen Ireland has bought partner Jessica Lawler a customised Bentley Continental GTC.
The 23-year-old already has a reputation for decorating his cars in dubious taste - he once drove a black Range Rover with pink wheels and a matching front grille - but this is perhaps the most dubious ever. It's certainly 'unique'.
The Bentley, which costs £136,000 in basic form, reportedly cost Ireland £260,000 thanks to an array of personal touches - including £2,000 seats embossed with the message 'to Jess love from Stephen'. That one might affect the resale value somewhat, but the 24th birthday present catapults Lawler into the same WAG league as Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole.
Other custom work includes the initials 'JL' on the front wings, a full body kit with red pinstripes, unique red and black alloy wheels, a pink retractable roof and a white rear spoiler. We don't know whether the Bentley's 552bhp, 6.0-litre engine has been worked over, but we'd be surprised if it hasn't been.

He's added tacky chav-like features - he's just spent a lot of money on it.

Where a chav may buy a vauxhall corsa for £600 and spend £600 'improving' it, he's taken a Bentley Continental GT and spent money on 'improving' it with chav like features - have you seen the wheels?

It's a shocker however at the end of the day it's his money (he donates a lot to charity already). It's a bit like laughing at someone because they dress in a style you don't like.
