Default PC: GTA IV Fatal Error?

I've just spent 20 minutes downloading everything and signing up for the social club and my gamertag, I go to PLAY the game and it says FATAL ERROR DD3D50.

    Why?

http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/ See if you can run it.

    I'll look into the error.

Edit: Looks like you are on XP with Service back 2 or below but could be something else. Check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kELKZV_wwU

After searching around, it means your graphics card is not compatible with Direct X 9.0c

Could you post the model of your card?

I've read that but that isn't always the case. You must have Service Pack 3 if on XP otherwise it will not work. I had this problem ages ago.
