Only our PS2 ****** up, because the chip that we had did something to the laser and rendered it useless pretty much..

Broke (well half broke) 1 ps1 by spilling vimto inside it, then it only read disks if we put a blank one ontop of the one that wanted to be played.

Broke 1 ps2 about a week after release by pulling it off a shelf with the controller so the dvd drive smashed inside.

ps3 has been fine though, got the yellow lights at one point but then I hit it and turned it back on and its worked since

My friends ps3 got the yellow light a few weeks back, it wasn't even a year old, no idea what the problem was but we managed to get his game out before he had to swap it for the replacement.

Its usually the HDD that causes the yellow light, think it was the case with mine being loose before, shuffling it around fixed my problem
